David Gregory - Experiential Educator
This is a blog about the adventures of life! It’s about education, it’s about challenging and inspiring those around you! Feel free to get in touch to share one of your adventures!
Challenge, Experience, Growth, is written by me, David Gregory. I’ve been an outdoor education teacher for 16 years. I’ve planned and run activities across five states of Australia and the US. I’ve worked in coastal, remote, wilderness and alpine environments. Much of my work has been in risk assessment, risk management, operational management and just having some awesome adventures!
What’s the point of all this? Well you tell me, why are you reading it? For me, this is a creative way to share my experiences in education with others. There's a massive problem with education today and it's producing less resilient school leavers who are simply not prepared for the challenges of an ever changing world. I'd like to change that and see education becoming far more pratical and enabling kids to face their fears, push themselves and grow into independent young adults. I’d love to hear about other peoples’ challenges, fun and experiences when outside the classroom!

Standard Disclaimer: All my opinions are my own and don’t constitute advice or anything more than a general discussion about stuff I’ve observed and experienced over the years. If you want serious legal advice on risk management and how to protect your organisation, then talk to a lawyer who has never stepped out of their air-conditioned office, I’m sure they’ll have some great legally rigid ideas for you on that.
